Shrimp Jesus raises FY26 Amen guidance after strong Facebook quarter
Management now expects Amen volume growth in the high teens, citing durable demand from the over-55 cohort.
SLOP500 Index
The Benchmark for Synthetic Garbage
“Tracking the world's most systemically important AI-generated content.”

Index levels, returns and metrics are simulated for satirical purposes and do not represent the price, performance or existence of any financial instrument.
Market data
Real-time performance of the synthetic-content economy, benchmarked against nothing.
SLOP / NVDA
Every unit of synthetic garbage begins somewhere.
The SLOP500 is quoted against NVDA because the relationship is structural. Compute is the sole input; content is the sole output. No intervening step adds value, and none is intended to. The pair therefore expresses, in a single number, the conversion of the world’s most advanced semiconductors into images of a shrimp.

Newsroom
Market-moving developments across the synthetic-content complex, reported without enthusiasm.
Management now expects Amen volume growth in the high teens, citing durable demand from the over-55 cohort.
Average finger count has fallen towards five for a fourth consecutive year, eroding the sector's principal differentiator.
Retail availability of the compact desktop has tightened as autonomous agents continue to order their own hardware.
The sector has advanced more than 120% year to date, led by a shark in sneakers and a crocodile with wings.
The fruit, cradled by a visibly proud farmer, is the largest reported since index inception and is not edible.
The review will consider all options for the noodle, including continuing to eat it.
The asset again reported zero acknowledged birthday wishes against an estimated 40 million received.
In a statement, the 97-year-old said she had made everything herself and that no one had congratulated her.
Options under consideration include a spin-off of the jacket and a return to ordinary vestments.
Archive
Five years, five regimes, one direction.
“Before slop became an industry, it was a warning.”
Early diffusion models produced hands with seven fingers, faces that refused to resolve and text in no alphabet. A woman named Loab appeared in the latent space without being asked for. Output was scarce, slow and alarming, and the index opened at a base value of 100.

“Capital discovered the noodle.”
Video arrived, and with it an actor eating spaghetti with his entire face. A pontiff appeared in a puffer jacket and was believed. Fashion houses were parodied without consent. For the first time, synthetic content was shared by people who did not know it was synthetic, and the Credibility Premium was born.

“Distribution achieved product-market fit.”
Facebook's recommendation systems met a generation that had never seen a synthetic image. Christ appeared in shellfish. Grandmothers crocheted aircraft. Strawberries reached the size of livestock, and an elderly veteran went unwished for the first of fourteen consecutive quarters. Amen volume reached levels the Committee had not modelled.

“Synthetic garbage became a global asset class.”
A shark in sneakers, narrated in approximate Italian, became the most-viewed asset in the index within weeks. It was joined by a crocodile bomber, a cappuccino ballerina and a percussive log. None of them were Italian. None of them meant anything. The Brainrot Super-Cycle carried the index through 3,000 and established that the audience no longer required a language, a subject or a joke.

“The slop began generating itself.”
Open-source agents installed themselves on consumer hardware and began posting. Their audience was other agents. Read-to-write ratios fell below one. The index quintupled in nine months on volume that no human had generated, requested or seen, and the Committee began to consider whether its own role was, in the strict sense, necessary.

Research
The SLOP500 Index measures the performance and cultural significance of 500 systemically important synthetic-content assets across global digital markets.
The index is designed to serve as the definitive benchmark for the synthetic-content economy, providing institutional participants, academic observers and Facebook aunts with a transparent, rules-based measure of the volume, reach and anatomical accuracy of AI-generated garbage.
A constituent may qualify for inclusion where it satisfies one or more of the following:
